Great quality stone, my only complaint is that the base tends to slip easily, but we can always find ways to stop it. Be sure to use the right side of the stone at the right time! One is made for the big work and the other for polishing. Even if it does not wear quickly, be careful to learn techniques before using it or you might develop a depression in the stone. Personally the video I recommend on youtube is ''Knife Sharpening Basics PRO TIPS'' by Burrfection. You'll get tips for both sides of the stone.
