  I have a fixture which had a Maxlite MLS13GUS which stopped working. I couldn't find an identical replacement; perhaps Maxlite doesn't make that kind any more. So I looked for a 13 watt spiral GU24-base bulb. This fit the requirements. I installed it and it works fine.
