- Reviewed in Canada on March 31, 2021My product came sealed. I knew this product was for "thick" hair and my hair is thin, but I wanted to try it anyway after being told is works great for people with 3A hair or curlier/coily.
I really hated how my hair looked the first time. I used it with water to try to refresh my curls. I knew I had to use a small amount, but not how much, and I definitely still used too much. My hair was greasy and weighed down.
But I tried it again today using the tiniest amount - 2 pea sized globs, one for each side of my head, from the middle to the ends - and it worked really well. I had just showered so my hair was more wet than damp, so that probably made a difference. After applying it, I put my hair up to try in the microfiber towel.
It curls beautifully and it isn't greasy or weighed down anymore! I don't use gel, but if you do maybe you can try this instead of gel because I got a similar effect, but without having crunchy hair or without the need to "break" the crunch.
I made it work and I will finish using the tub I have, but I don't think I will repurchase. The milk from the same line works just as well if not better on my hair, I prefer it over this one, so if you have fine curly hair maybe try that one first. However if you have thicker/curlier/coily hair then try this one because it isn't a bad product if you have the hair type for it.
My main problem with it is the scent. I am sorry but I can't stand it. Smells weird and I can't explain why. It goes away quickly thankfully. The shampoo from the same line also smells weird. The milk though, smells a lot nicer.
