To be fair, I did use this on my bike throughout the winter and so it is possible that the elements perhaps had something to do with the fact that the light would no longer connect to the remote (despite both being charged and functional), making the device useless for my purposes. It was nonetheless disappointing as I had only had it for a couple months at that point (4 or 5 months tops). Even when it did work, it was annoying that the remote did not indicate what setting the light was on (or whether it was even on at all). The alarm feature was the main reason I got this though, and I will say that it was fairly reliable until the end (although alarm volume and sensitivity settings were a tad too extreme, i.e., either much too loud/strong or not loud/strong enough).
