  I bought this to replace a Fabric Lumaray light of similar design which I had used for several years. The battery in the Fabric light exploded during a ride - sending part of the light and my Garmin off into the ditch. Fortunately the Garmin survived.
  This light is better than my old Fabric one in a number of ways: it charges through a USB-C port instead of the deeply recessed and fiddly mini USB port on the old one; it's easier to snap the Garmin head unit into the top of the light; the on/off/mode switch is more responsive and in a better place; and it appears to be brighter when in the highest flash mode. My only criticisms are that the instructions are in tiny print and it's a bit pricey for what you get. I've only used it a couple of times on shortish rides, so can't comment on the battery life. The instructions with this unit recommend using a tether strap for your head unit, and based on my previous experience this may be a good idea!
