Customer Review

First thing I have to say is that the price of this lens dropped $10 a week after I received mine...kind of a bummer. Also unlike most of my purchases I didn't really do any research on this lens till after I bought it. Which turns out to be alright since most of the reviews I could find on YouTube weren't that good. The main drawback on this lens is the lack of image stabilization. Now at this point I should mention that I only recently got my first dslr camera (used Canon T3i) Also I am still a newbie at photography as far as I'm concerned. So after reading the less then stellar reviews online about this lens after I bought it I thought oh oh. However I can tell you that so far I am really enjoying the pictures I have been able to capture with this lens. Granted having image stabilization would have been nicer BUT with a bit of practice and patience I was able to get some nice pictures. Of course using a remote or a timer and a tripod, you should have some good results. That said I was able to use it handheld and still get some nice clear pictures. At the end of the day I have to say for the price this lens is a nice piece of kit. I plan on using it exclusively until I know all it's quirks and master it. On auto focus at 300m it is a little slow. However it's nothing I can't deal with. I'm including a few pictures taken with this lens. Keep in mind it's been very overcast and dreary this time of year but still yielded nice results (IMHO) Hope you find this helpful.
