  I use these for power control on heated motorcycle grips and clothing. Unlike resistive solutions, they don't heat up so they can be embedded in 3D printed housings or clothing. And they don't waste power, drawing only what is required by the setting instead of dumping the excess as heat. I coat them in plastic-dip sealant to keep moisture out. I've only had one fail thus far and that was after 2 years of use. Cheap and effective.
