I recently picked up a new TV, and only after setting it up did I realize鈥攏o RCA inputs. So my trusty old Nintendo Wii (yes, I have one of the original ones) suddenly had nowhere to plug in. Thankfully, this little adapter solved the problem.
The setup was pretty straightforward. Just plug the micro USB cable into the adapter for power (your TV鈥檚 USB port works just fine, or you can use an external power block), connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to your TV, and then hook up your RCA cables from the old device. That鈥檚 it鈥攊t connected right away without any issues.
There鈥檚 even a little switch on it to toggle between 720p and 1080p if you need to adjust the resolution, but I didn鈥檛 need to mess with it鈥攅verything looked fine right out of the box. If you鈥檝e got older gear like a VCR or a Wii that you still want to use with a newer TV, this adapter does the trick. Simple, affordable, and works exactly as it should.
