  We purchased this for a family member; a wee guy and he was over the moon. Hot Wheels are always a hit and this was a bonanza. I don't know that this is a great set for collectors; the models are the usual and are easily purchased individually, at any store.
  As for being a great gift for a child, absolutely. Great value for the money and loads of quality play time.
