    Pros :
    - Only real accessible old 2012 3DS XL grip online.
    - Comfortable *enough*, my hand cramps are pretty much gone (:
    - Access to the Joystick is pretty good, but access to the other buttons (except LR) is perfect.
    - Low price, especially compared to the alternatives on Etsy and Aliexpress.
    - Really easy to install, basically just slide the old 3DS XL in.
    - Adds a tiny bit of weight, which makes the 3DS more comfortable to hold (weight wise)
    - Keeps the 3ds somewhat safe from damage since it covers the entire bottom part of the old 3DS XL.

    Cons :
    - The L/R buttons are a tiny bit too far for my own comfort.
    - Hides the pen hole, which is bad if you use it a lot, but carrying it in a transport case pretty much gets rid of that issue.
    - SD port, which is bad if you have a modded 3DS and change games a lot.
    - Not easy to remove, you have to prod it open a bit with your nail otherwise it doesn't really do anything. And if you don't use the SD port or rely on the pen this is like a non-issue.

    The okay's :
    - There's a stand leg behind, so that's cool I guess.
    - If you like playing at a table/desk, the grip handles can serve as handles, which is cool I guess.
    - It's a 2 piece build, so I could add stickers on the back with no problem.

To me, it kind of looks fugly, like a Korok got turned into a 3DS. I'll have to give it a very small sand down where your pinkies rest since it was a tiny bit sharp. Otherwise, for what's out there, I can't really complain. Build quality is fine for the price, and you can always fix any issues you have with tools/sanding/etc.

(ignore the scratches on the touch screen, the previous owner went crazy 😭)

    Comfortable enough.
