Have not been using it for long enough to discern how effective it is but this type of therapy is proven to reduce the appearance of cellulite so I have high hopes and lots of providers charge A LOT of money for ultrasonic cavitation -- which is essentially the same thing.
The experience was pleasant and I was able to use it at the highest setting with minimal discomfort though I could definitely feel that it was working. It was a prickly, tingly feeling. I imagine that this would work very well for massaging injured muscles as well as it feels similar to my TENS machine.
