  first please keep on top shelf of dishwasher. as the bottom has heat element that could warp them over time. also plastic tends to get the white scratchy thing to them. i find the top shelf helps prevent that.
  
  and for microwaving. most items are great. and plate not to warm to handle without gloves. but i wouldn't cook bacon or things like that. cause not just heat but higher heat from oil/ grease. but like pizza pockets i use all the time.
  
  i like the edges so when walking with food it doesn't spill.
  
  I still have 5 out of 8 of these dishes from another company from 13 yrs ago, 2 of the 5 getting that white scratchy thing. i use to think it was dishwasher soap. but not i'm sure it's the plastic decaying. but still more then half after 13 years. this larger set should last me 25 yrs or more.
