  Was Zombieland: Double Tap a sequel no one wanted? Or was it a lazy attempt to rake in extra dollars at the box office? The first film, Zombieland (2009), was a completely enjoyable dark-comedy zombie films, featuring hilarious performances from Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Emma stone, but unfortunately the sequel doesn’t really live up to the hype. It’s definitely nostalgic and we are reacquainted with the characters we loved 10 years prior – but the sequel failed at recreating the dynamic between them all. The ditsy new character Madison is a lazy plot device that was completely unnecessary against comedic legends of the returning cast. It doesn’t live up to the original, not only because the original was so great, but because it feels like the whole film just didn’t need to happen. But as zombie films go – you’ll still be entertained – and you won’t be bored.
