We used it to ferment hot pepper to make hot sauce. Everything worked fine for the fermentation but we had a problem when we cleaned the weight.
Since it was hot sauce, we left the glass weight to soak in the water after use. After like 10-15 minutes we got back to the sink to finish cleaning and one of the weight has split almost in half (not directly in the middle since there his a thicker part to remove the weight from jars).
We felt lucky that it didn't broke during the fermentation process since the water wasn't that hot in the sink (so no thermal shock possible). Maybe we got a lemon...
