  The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because the on/off f/c buttons are really small and cheaply made, so you have to be very careful about sliding them on/off. But mine is accurate within .2 degrees. (Boiling water is 99.8 and should read 100). Accuracy is really important for fudge and cheese making. I bought this a couple years ago and I think it was around $5. I wanted to buy another one and I was shocked at the prices of them now. I guess I will just be careful with the one I have and hope it doesn't break. Really disappointed to see the how much they have gone up. Worth it I guess if you don't have one and accuracy is important to you.
