  I have never been happy with my windshield clarity, stripped and polished it but still not that great. bought this product as I was incredibly happy with a different product from same company, it is still performing after 8 years. To start I would recommend stripping the glass first, as I did it a year ago I didnt bother, used a wax remover and dish soap mixed with a touch of bleach to clean glass, dried thourghly, then used alcahol to take any remnants of that blend off, thourghly dried again,, it took 1 pad to do half the glass, the moment I started to apply the product you could see the clarity improve instantly, it seemed to renew the glass. have been tempted to do the inside of it as well. it does have great hydrophobic qualities, as well as to clean the glass I mearly wipe the dust off, I live in a very high pollen area, if there is any droppings or tree pitch I just use a damp cloth and buff dry with a drying towel, dont seem to need any product. excellent product from this company.
