I thought I was getting a little plastic poorly constructed cheap feeling one but this stick is solid. Great weight to it. Stands straight and the tripod legs are just long enough not to have it tip over and close nicely for for hand held shots. Construction is solid, expands easily and closes to about 8 to 9 inches.
