  The kit provides good value for what it is. I didn't love the price when I saw it but when it arrived and I got a sense for how much of the sharpening compound comes with it, I feel now that the value is not too bad. And when I run out of the compound I'll still have the crank and brush to use, and can always purchase more compound from a local shop.
