  Beautiful kettle
  Temperature settings great
  Pours very well
  Soft-opening lid a nice touch
  Handle feels good
  
  The only downside is that it beeped about every action. Namely, a beep would go off at:
  - taking off the base
  - putting back on the base
  - pressing a button
  - done boiling (several beeps)
  
  Not that it would be that helpful if it were, but the beep noise itself wasn't a pleasant one. Thankfully we had the electrical expertise to stop the beeping manually, but it seems very strange that such a refined, expensive kettle doesn't have an on-off toggle switch for sound effects. I understand that it could be useful for the visually impaired, but again, it should be an option that you can turn off.
  
  Seeing that very few reviews mention the beeping my guess is that either it doesn't bother others as much, or the beeping varies with each model (possibly being entirely absent in some).
  
  Now that the beeping is gone we couldn't be happier with the kettle; however, if we couldn't get the beeping to stop, we would have returned it.
