- Reviewed in Canada on April 14, 2025This fan base is 12" in diameter. But the fan blades are actually a lot smaller, less then 7". When I carry it, it is heavier then I thought. Thanks to the base and the metal tube. So this fan won't be easy to tip over.
Despite the small fan blade, the wind is stronger then I thought. There are 3 speeds. It maybe the throttle design, it feels the air blow faster then I expected.
This fan can auto oscillate left to right, up and down. Left-right is about 90 degrees, which is a good angle. Up-down is about 135 degrees, which I think is too much. There is no need for the fan to blow vertical up. I think the Vortx Cycle can be smaller.
This fan is very flexible, can sit on the floor, or on the table. It is quiet at lowest speed. I can turn it on low while sleeping. It has timer, can auto shut off, very convenient.
The buttons on the panel is touch. I can use the remote control too. I don't need to get up to turn on/off this fan. However, I need to be patient with this fan. I cannot turn off this fan right away. It will automatically maneuver to its base position first before it powers off. That takes a long time. And I think that is a safety concern too if I can not turn it off right away during emergency.
Regarding cleaning, I think I can take the cover of this fan off. There is a mark on the top. But for some reason, I am not able to do it. Maybe I don't know the trick. Wish the instruction mention how to do it, but it is missing.
Final word, the price of this fan is a bit on the high side. I understand this fan quality is good, and solid too. But I am not sure does it worth that much, even after discount.
