All around pretty solid coffee maker. Consistent taste and easy to use, if you need a simple no-nonsense coffee machine at a good price, this is hand down one of the best I've used.
Pro: - Extremely easy to clean. The basket for the filters lifts out super easily to allow cleaning. The top of the carafe twists off and the opening is wide enough I can easily reach in with a sponge to clean the inside. The part where you fill the water is also big enough to clean by hand if needs be.
- Very quiet.
- No burner means no bad metalic taste after coffee has been done for 30 minutes. The thermally insulated carafe keeps the coffee warm for a long time. The "time since ready" on the coffee maker goes up to 2 hours before disappearing, but even after 3 hours, the coffee was still warm and good enough. I managed to burn my tongue on coffee made an hour and a half before, very good!
Con: 1 star for the only downside I found.
The function to set the strength of the coffee is useless. We barely see a difference, in fact the strongest setting feels sometimes weaker than when it's off.
I personally don't really care as I just change the amount of coffee or how fine/coarse I make it to adjust the taste, but if you add a function to something and it doesn't work, why even add it in the first place?
Very good, keep warm AND GOOD for a long time, easy to clean.
