  For kids not born in the 60's it take a little bit to get the hang of how to operate the pen in the wheel. The set I remember as a kid was in a what I thought was a huge box at the time so I was a little taken aback when I opened to see how small this one was. The paper pad it comes with is basically garbage, get some big paper you can actually draw and overlap designs on if you plan to gift it.
