  Sometimes the old adage "You get what you pay for" is the best description. Very disapointed in the quality of this toaster with the Black + Decker brand label. I thought the price was good given how expensive everything is these days, but realized my mistake as soon as I started using it. My old one actually does a better job even though I know it may kick the bucket soon. This Black+Decker model is cheaply made and doesn't even toast evenly no matter what the setting, so I'm hanging on to my old one for now and keeping this one only as a backup when my old one finally bites the dust. I'll choose a different brand and model next time.
