Firstly I rarely ever write reviews. I briefly debated giving this a 2 star review but for the safety factor alone I could not鈥
I was excited when first receiving this heat press because it looks like it could have been well manufactured. However the very first time I used it. It kept climbing above the set temperature point. IT WOULD NOT SHUT OFF! I had to unplug it. The increased temperature caused the connected hat press to bubble underneath causing it to eventually work it鈥檚 way towards the edge while I was trying to use it and sprayed hot steam towards me and literally melted the hat I was trying to press.
I tried the t-shirt press as well thinking that maybe the problem was just related to the hat press. Same thing. Kept climbing above the set temp point and alarming. Obviously this is a control board issue.
It may be possible that I got a lemon but after seeing similar customer reviews on other bettersub product I highly doubt it.
SUPER UNSAFE!! This lack of quality control is completely unacceptable when dealing with products that claim to maintain temperatures that can cause fires.
On another side note I purchased this one over other heat presses because the seller looked like it resides in North America. Once receiving the box there was Chinese writing and a giant 鈥淢ADE IN CHINA鈥 label on the box. Don鈥檛 make the same mistake I did and steer clear. I also have videos to prove that all my set points were correct confirming the control board defect.
