  I just recently had to replace my not-so-old stove, and the best-reviewed model I could find has a glass top. Fine--easier to keep clean, etc.
  Also found out at first use that it generates one HECK of a lot more heat than the old one did--WOW!
  
  I hadn't realized that it might not do well with my much-loved and continually-used Vision Ware pots & pans--which I will not willingly ever do without.
  These diffusers deal with any and all concerns. They allow any degree of heat to pass through to the cookware, without threatening the cookware or its contents in any way.
  
  Happy solution for all involved: stove, cookware, and cooks!
