- Reviewed in Canada on May 9, 2025If you like Crush Zero, then you will like these. Just like the original they are super sweet. While these do taste better in flat water, I use them after carbonating water with my Sodastream machine.
I expected to like all the flavors but did believe the strawberry would be my favorite. It was by far the worst. I don't know if I got a bad batch, but it was mostly flavorless and slightly bitter. Not sweet & packed with flavor like the others. It was nauseating, so I did end up throwing it out in case it was spoiled.
I also found that these are unnecessarily filled with an excessive amount of artificial color. They will stain most things they come into contact with, including some water bottles & mugs. They are much worst then other flavor enhancers I have used. Unlike the artificial sweeteners which make them taste good, the color does nothing for the taste. It would be great if the amount of color could be reduced or swapped for something more natural.
I also don't like that there is no ingredient list included in the photos or product description. I find the lack of transparency concerning. In case anyone is wondering, this is the ingredients for Orange (they are all pretty similar):
INGREDIENTS: Water, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Natural Flavour, sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium, Sunset Yellow, Sodium Benzoate (to help protect flavour), Potassium Sorbate (to help protect flavour).
(46mg of sucralose per 2 mL serving, 40 mg of acesulfame potassium per 2 mL serving)
