  The whole bread making process is new to me and I bought the banneton kit to get started. Not knowing anything about them, I washed them properly before and after use. THEN I find out as part of a YouTube video, you’re NOT supposed to immerse them in water and you’re not supposed to use soap. Just dry them after use and brush out any flour or remnants from the dough. Apparently you can cause the bowls to shred fibres by washing them 🙄. A little note explaining how to care for them would have been great for us newbies. Happy with the bowls now I know how to use them and the liners (which I mistakenly used as covers 😖). On to the sour dough making now!
