  My Klipch promedia 2.1 v1 amp in my active sub was getting old enough to be a worry(22 yrs). Since I was replacing my blown subwoofer, I decided to go with an external amp while I was in there. The 32 v 5 amp power supply is enough power to replicate the volume output of the original amp. Note I run the fosi over 1/2 volume to match about 1/3 the Klipsch internal amp volume. The fosi amp is much cleaner sound wise than the 22 yr old Klipch. No hum from the speakers when the fosi is turned on. I think the fosi is an upgrade to the internal Klipsch amp. Less powerful than Klipsch, but can still put out the same volume I’m use to (fairly loud per the wife). In my opinion, this amp will easily power a small 2.1 system like the promedia 2.1 I have. Fosi does have a 30 pro amp that can take a 48v power supply and produce much more watts for a bigger system( bigger bucks of course).
