The user interface is clunky, unintuitive and would benefit from a mode allowing you to control it from an app or device. The slide holder doesn't hold the slides in a precise position often leading to unintentional cropping and misalignment. The color fidelity isn't very good. In general, it works well with high quality slides, but if you need to do any restoration of old slides, this unit will not capture the detail.
