  Friend was unsuccessfully trying to remove front wheel bearing on his 2011 Buick Lucerne with low mileage using typical 3 jaw mechanical screw style puller. Even using an air impact hammer made no difference.
  
  I bought this 15 ton hydraulic puller thinking it would quickly push the axle out where the mechanical puller could not. Even 15 tons was not strong enough.
  
  I had to use an oxy acetylene cutting torch to gradually cut away the bearing assembly. Once all the outer bearing stuff was on the floor, the puller still could not move the axle. Once I heated the inner most splined part of the assembly did the 15 ton puller start the parts separating.
  
  If there are strong pullers on the market, I would suggest buying one of those. This one is well made but not strong enough.
