  To attach this you remove your toilet seat all the back part then put your toilet seat back. This makes it very sturdy and assure that it stays in place. It is height adjustable, my husband is tall, and I was worried that with his bathchair that protrudes outside the tub that it might block his ability to get into the tub in our small bathroom, but found that you can take off a rail if necessary and put it back easily.
