After dropping it on the floor it didn't work for a bit but finally got it working again!

I have used this thermometer gun for general temperature testing but more specifically for testing the temperature of must (wine) fermentation in 45 gallon drums. It agreed closely with a floating thermometer that I had been using.
However, I dropped it from my pocket and, unfortunately, it no longer works.
It seems to be a very fragile instrument and I would recommend being very careful while using it.
Not sure if I will order another one.
UPDATE: After messing with it for a while it now works!!!
