  First impressions: It’s sharp from corner to corner. Especially considering it’s price, Tamron did a great job with this lens. It is not image stabilized but I don’t need it anyways since I always shoot landscape/nature on my tripod. Auto-focus is good too. Only thing I wish Tamron added was a zoom lock switch. The barrel tends to come out on it’s own after a period of time if facing downward. Will probably get a lens band to solve lens creeping. I got it from the �鶹�� warehouse deal for a very good price. My only concern when I received the lens was that both lens caps and the lens hood weren’t properly locked. Wish they did a better job at packaging.
  Overall lovely lens for very economical price. Very satisfied with my purchase!
