My Refoss unit didn't have the green and amber lights on it like the instructions referenced but a Wifi symbol on it did the same thing, a little hard to see in the light though, had to cover it to see the colour of it but other than that the app connected straight away and the wizard guides you through the whole thing including testing the sensor magnets and when to hook everything up. The whole setup probably takes five minutes plus the time it takes to mount the magnets on the door and wall.
Kit doesn't come with an L-bracket or anything to mount the door magnet so you need to source something to take care of that.
I have a Liftmaster with the yellow learn button which is a problem, Refoss mentions you will need an accessory to connect to this opener but in the end I didn't have time to wait so I worked around it.
This opener, liftmaster 41d7675 is a money grab, it's not wifi capable unless you buy their over priced hub, which didn't have great reviews so you can't connect the Refoss to the opener itself without the accessory I guess, I had to modify the button slightly.
It's not actually a button but a wireless remote, the wires coming from the opener are actually supplying 12v to the remote.
I took it off the wall and soldered a small JST connector to the right hand side of the push button, if you pull yours apart check for continuity when the button is pressed and that's where you can solder, I soldered wires to the two right hand side contacts on the button.
Then I ran a wire back up to the Refoss unit.
Works a treat, I did change the trigger time in the app to 1sec as longer may interfere with the door opening all the way.
This is only a problem on the openers that are not on the compatible list. I imagine the setup on compatible ones is ridiculously easy.
App has a lot of good features like reminders and schedules and can be set to auto close and open, awesome if you lose contact or forget to check your phone.
