  I haven't used this in really low lighting yet, but for what I have used it for I'm quite happy with the result, obviously not as sharp as a $1000 f1.8 lense, BUT it's great bang for your buck, as a hobbyist this is a lense. Completely manual, doesn't zoom, just focus and aperture adjustments (both manual). More then pleased so far.
