- Reviewed in Canada on June 29, 2025I honestly can鈥檛 find any difference between my original grey Nintendo joycon controllers and these made by the Splatdance brand.
They look identical, feel and perform the exact same. They lock into place perfectly, and the switch console recognized them right away. I played multiple games trying to find a difference, and I didn鈥檛 encounter any issues whatsoever.
The only thing I could find was the weight, they鈥檙e slightly lighter than the originals. It could be the battery difference, these are 500 mah while the originals are 525 mah. But again I didn鈥檛 notice any difference in how long the battery lasted.
I took photos of my grey original joycons beside these aftermarket ones. And you can see for yourself, aside from the colours they look identical.
Pros:
Visually practically identical to the originals
Performance was identical
Locked perfectly onto the switch
Cons:
None at this time
