  This is one of my favorite books to date. It takes you right back to "Alfred's England", I love the characters and the writing style of Bernard Cornwell. This book is fun to read along side the shows "The Last Kingdom" and "Vikings". It is incredibly hard to put down once you start it, and I cannot wait to start the next book as soon as I finish this one.
