Works like a charm and the size is perfect to make just one or two cups of fresh coffee at a time. The ceramic burrs grind the beans well without crushing or hacking away at them like an electric blade grinder, allowing for great flavour extraction. This design is very simple yet able to produce a fantastic cup of coffee. Compact, so great for travelling too. Stores easily as the crank is removable and you can hang it on the lip of the top piece.

Cleanup is easy, you can wash the grind catcher with your other dishes. I would advise to not wash the top compartment too frequently as too much moisture can muck up the burrs. It also does not need to be cleaned after each use, the oils from the beans are not destructive on it. If anything just brush out the grinds every few uses or so.

Only con is that it's a bit of an arm workout, especially to grind it for 2 cups, and takes about 5 mins or so. I got very tired of using it everyday and after 1-2 years just gave in and bought an electric burr grinder, which does the same job in literally seconds. However, for the price of the Hario slim and the quality of its work, it is really a great product and I would recommend this to anyone just getting into coffee and making fresh cups at home. Especially if the Hario Skerton is out of your price range. The Skerton may be a smoother grinder to use, but I would say the Slim does just as great of a job.
