- Reviewed in Canada on December 29, 2024The 2024PHB (Player's Handbook) is the first book in the new edition of D&D, and it's vastly more organized than the previous 5e book. I would not say the rules are "better", there's some clunky bits. Not getting class sub-class abilities until level 3 is odd, for example. But not a game changer. If you have the 2014 5e books you don't need these, but it's certainly a good buy and a character created with these rules would pretty much be playable with the 5e rules. The art is very positive and filled with various character types, great inspiration. I gave a fourth star simply because this book is far better organized than the old book.Report PermalinkHelpful
