  After one too many DIY misadventures, I got this set to remove a super annoying set screw in a towel bar that had gotten cross-threaded and completely stuck. With this set in my power drill (even though the instructions said to use a hand drill) on low speed/low torque, I was able to get the stuck screw out. It took a bit deeper drilling and a few more tries with the extractor bit than I expected, but patience and determination paid off.
  
  The pieces in this set seem pretty solid to me. I'm not sure why some reviewers seemed to have trouble with the extractor bits breaking. If you're careful and take things slowly, I don't think you'll have any issues with these, but I've only used it once. Your mileage may vary, but I can say I'm happy with my purchase.
