  Whenever I have bought kelp tablets in the past they have been round , fibrous tablets that break and crumble fairly easily. They were a medium brown colour.
  
  These tablets are white and feel hard and are "porcelain like".
  
  They may be fine from the iodine content point of view, and the taste is not at all objectionable, but I really don't feel as comfortable swallowing them as I did my old tablets. They are not so easy to break in half either.
