  This is an excellent HVLP sprayer. My only gripe is that I couldn't see any noticeable difference when adjusting the flow rate. Seemed to do nothing. Be that as it may, this spray painter WORKS. I painted all our kitchen cupboards with a water based primer and top coat. I used the 2.5mm nozzle and thinned the paint before spraying. I added around 10% water to the primer and 5% water to the top coat. I think it is critical to get the viscosity right.
  The sprayer sprayed a consistent fine spray without blobbing. It works best when the spray length is set to the elongated position so that you get an extra fine spray - the circle/spot position sprays faster but is definitely rougher and more prone to clogging up the nozzle. I got a perfect finish on my cupboards and it looks like they were factory painted!
  Be sure to properly clean the sprayer to ensure that it works as it should.
