Niacin is great. And it works. But it only works if its the normal niacin kind. In other words the one that causes the flush effect where you start feeling itchy. Most people don't like that and prefer the non-flush version but don't be fooled. The flushing effect is very important because it means your body is absorbing the niacin correctly. The problem wiith the non-flush is it doesnt quite absorb correctly into your body, if at all, and so although you get the relief of non-flush, you get next-to-no benefit from the niacin because it wasnt absorbed at all or not much. So you are technically waisting money buying non-flush niacin.
The extra plus side of these flush versions of niacin is that over time your body gets used to it and the flush goes away. It will return though if you stop taking niacin for like a week. So i recommend sticking with the flush version of niacin and take it routinely (once a day) and in no time the flushing effect -- if it bothers you -- will go away because you body has habituated to it.
