For example: When I pull the magnets apart and they form a string, then I place that on a table, the resting state of that string will not be a straight line, it will be bent at some points. Those bent points are magnets that have the poles of the magnets going through the side of the ball, Not through the middle. I've included a video of that with this review.The media could not be loaded.
These defective magnets are frequent enough that making things like the cube that is advertised for this product is not actually possible. Some of the magnets will simply not stay in some configurations because they are so far out of spec that they will break or eject themselves from most patterns.
So building any kind of regular structure with these can not be done without buying multiple sets and culling the defective ones yourself.
On the other hand. If you just want to mash them together in your hands, for that they work great. If that was all the manufacture had advertised them as doing I would have no objections.
