  In the past I have used a B&D "Grass Hog" electric trimmer...it went through line like fire in a grassy field! I am very impressed with the value and performance of these tiny Worx" spools of trimmer line (And my Worx battery operated trimmer). ! When I first saw them i thought "this won't last a week per spool". However I have found that I use about 4 spools in an entire season (8 dollars worth)...that is doing 2 yards (mine front and back, and a neighbour's front only) about once every 5 days or so, (starting in March and ending in October). I only use it to trim the perimeter grass, driveways and sidewalks, but we both have fairly large front curbed gardens, which extends the perimeter quite a bit) and I have extensive garden plots in the back yard that must each be trimmed as well. I doubt if the line would last well if used for trimming tall grass and weeds, though.
