Customer Review

  • Reviewed in Canada on November 25, 2024
    Pros:
    - Sturdy and Compact
    - Works Well
    - Has Live Data and Simple Graphing Ability
    - A Good Value for the Money
    Cons:
    - Small, Low Resolution Screen
    - Limited Features
    - Cryptic Abbreviations with NO explanations what they mean
    - Customer service could not tell me what DTC_CNT, SHRTFT1 (%), ECT(°F) stands for.

Verdict: A very basic unit, mostly useful to find out what that CEL is for, with some limited diagnostic features. Cryptic abbreviations with no explanations leave you guessing. But for the price, considering its sturdiness, ability to tell you what how serious that CEL is and its small size, it makes a nice addition to any set of basic tools one should keep in the car.

    UPDATE 2024-11-29:
After being able to get through Customer Support reagrding the missing definitions for the abbreviations issue, this is the response in got:

    Abbreviation Definition

    LOAD_PCT (%) Calculated LOAD Value

    SHRTFT B1 S1 (%) SHRFT Bank 1, Sensor 1

I was assured Ancel would update their User Manual with these missing definitions.

    Hope it helps!
