  This helps a TON! I cant believe its so cheap, i went to Henry's and other photo stores and they were asking for much much more than what i paid for this diffuser cap. it softens and also distributes the light very evenly and stays relatively white. Cant ask for more, the quality of the product is pretty good and has been durable enough for me to use for 15 photo opportunities for events i've had to attend, and still is going strong.
  
  For those wondering, i use this with a Sony HVL-F43M and it fits and stays on.
