  I purchased this card for use in an Ubuntu 20.04 headless server. It worked out of the box with my 5x2TB RAID5 mdadm array with excellent performance. This card is a great option for software raid as the performance is excellent and the price is great because there is no hardware RAID CPU or battery backed cache to jack up the price. Just 8x6 full speed SATA3 6Gps ports. I am very happy thus far with this card and I would buy it again.
