  This juicer is designed so that you hold the citrus half on the ridged juicer spindle, press down, and turn the handle to rotate the spindle and squeeze the juice out. For me the problem is that it takes a tremendous amount of downward pressure to fully juice a citrus half. It's way easier to just hold the handle steady and manually rotate the citrus half back and forth as you would using an old fashioned hand juicer. I guess the next step is a Breville automatic unit
