My favorite aspect is how the bag grows with my developing skills. At first, I carried just my camera and kit lens, but as I've added a prime lens and small zoom, the flexible dividers have made reorganizing super simple. I just flip the dividers up or down without removing them completely, which is way less frustrating than my previous bag's velcro system that collected lint and lost stickiness.
The crossbody design distributes weight comfortably even after hours of city walking, though I've noticed the shoulder pad sometimes shifts position when I swing the bag around to access gear quickly. Unexpected bonus: the water-resistant exterior has already saved my gear during a sudden downpour last weekend. The separation between wet and dry storage areas meant I could stuff my damp raincoat in the outer pocket without worrying about moisture reaching my camera.
For daily use, the slim profile doesn't scream "cameras inside" like bulkier bags do, which helps me feel more secure when traveling through crowded areas.

Large spacious sling/shoulder bag for camera and 1-2 lens
This camera bag is in the style of a sling/shoulder bag. It had lots of space to carry a full frame camera and lens and some accessories. Design: The very front has a zipper pocket to put small and thin items for quick access. Immediately behind that, there is a “Dry & Wet Split Pouch”. I was initially confused by what the purpose of this is, but reading the instructions suggests that this expandable pouch which can pass through and through is water resistant and can be used to store wet towels, or as per their photo, maybe even a wet shirt umbrella? After that, opening the front large pouch reveals meshed zippered pockets inside. These are good for putting small accessories like memory cards, batteries, filters, chargers, etc. there is also a keychain ring with a quick disconnect. Perhaps good for remotes. Then the main storage compartment. There is plenty of room in here. The divider inside is removable and is attached by Velcro. Note that for the inside divider, it is different from other camera bags. The two ends can fold up to divide the inside into almost 3 equal sections. This is different because in other camera bags, the small dividers are individual walls that are attached by Velcro. In this case, it is like origami where it is flat to the bottom but you pull it up to make it vertical. The back part has another zipper pouch for thinner items again. Then on each left and right side there are meshed pockets. The shoulder strap is adjustable for length and has a shoulder pad. On the bottom there are also two adjustable loops to hold a small tripod. The weight is about 692g. Medium weight, feels some density due to the faux-leather like material (polyester). So while you can carry lots of gear, too much would make it heavier. I prefer lighter. Capacity: The main compartment is large enough contain the following: (A) a full frame camera and two lenses, either both removed or one still attached. (B) a camera and a lens and also a strobe flash that is folded compact (see photo) (C) a camera with a longer telephoto lens. In my photo, I had the Canon EF 70-200mm IS L lens. The front and back pouches can fit lots of small accessories, although you don’t want too much to make it too bulky or heavy. Material: The external material appears to be water proof. I found the water droplets are able to stay beaded and on the surface without absorption. However, the zippers are not water proof. Dropping water into the zipper immediately gets soaked into the zipper. This happens so faster than I could capture a photo of it (unless I take a video). I would not test spilling large volumes of water on it, nor dropping the bag into a puddle of water as I expect water to enter through the zippers. Padding: One thing I find lacking in this camera bag is padding. There is no padding at all on the top of the main pouch. The inner divider has wall thickness of only 5.5 mm and is perhaps made of hard cardboard like material under the fabric. The front and back padding is essentially the material thickness of the pouches of the polyester and fabric. So I would not want to drop this bag. If it fell upside down, there may be direct impact with the camera and lens. The inner divider is not really adjustable like other camera bags. In other bags, because the divider walls are fixed with Velcro, you can move the walls to the exact size you want. With this bag, because the divider walls are fixed in place, the compartments always stay the same size. This means that for camera lens by themselves, they may be loose and not held snugly. Therefore when you open the pouch, you want to be careful to close the zipper completely to prevent a lens from slipping out. The one benefit of this flip up and down design of the dividers is a very quick and easy change of design for your needs, like if you were going to a different function and quickly swapped out different equipment. Bonus: I was surprised to find included inside the bag a camera strap and an adhesive wrapper. Conclusion: Overall I do really like this camera bag. I just didn’t like the lack of padding and how lenses may have wiggle room inside. So carry your gear carefully and don’t toss it to the ground. You can add padding or use the adhesive wrap for added protection.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 23, 2025This camera sling bag impressed me with its smart, user-focused design and surprisingly spacious interior given its compact form factor. The materials feel rugged and water-resistant, and all the zippers operate smoothly with easy-grab tabs—small but meaningful details that improve daily use. It's a great choice for carrying minimal gear on a short hike or quick shoot.
The internal organization is especially well thought-out. The origami-style divider in the main compartment allows for quick, secure configuration of up to three slots. I was able to store my Canon camera with a lens attached, along with an extra zoom lens. There’s also a clever front “wet/dry” pocket—ideal for umbrellas or isolating damp items—and mesh zip pockets for batteries and cables.
Comfort-wise, the generously padded shoulder strap distributes weight evenly and remains comfortable even when the bag is fully loaded. The tripod straps on the bottom are a handy addition for carrying a lightweight tripod. TARION also includes a camera strap and a lens wrap.
My only real critique is the lack of thick padding at the top of the bag. While overall protection is decent, more padding in that area would provide greater peace of mind. Also, while the bag material is waterproof, the zippers themselves are not the waterproof type.
Overall, this is a versatile, lightweight, and thoughtfully designed bag that should meet the everyday needs of most casual and enthusiast photographers.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 8, 2025This camera sling bag exceeds expectations with genuinely impressive build quality that feels like premium gear designed for serious photographers. The materials, stitching, and hardware all demonstrate exceptional attention to detail that rivals bags costing significantly more. The 5L capacity efficiently accommodates a DSLR with lens plus additional accessories without unnecessary bulk, while the thoughtful internal organization keeps everything secure and accessible.
The tripod holder integration is well-executed and actually functional, securely holding tripods without interfering with bag balance or comfort. The crossbody design distributes weight evenly for comfortable extended carrying, and the quick-access features allow rapid camera deployment when shooting opportunities arise. The construction quality inspires confidence for protecting expensive camera equipment, with robust zippers, reinforced stress points, and weather-resistant materials that suggest this bag will provide years of reliable service for serious photography work.

👉TARION Compact Camera Bag Sling: 5L DSLR Shoulder Bag with Tripod Holder Crossby Hand-Carry Bag Camera Case Portable for Canon Nikon Sony Photography Bag Black sold for $56.99 at the time of this review. I’ve been carrying this sling bag for a month, and it's made it so much easier to just grab‑and‑go to bring my camera everywhere. It feels feather‑light, yet the faux‑leather‑look polyester shell shrugs off drizzle and wipes clean after muddy shoots. Inside, the clever fold‑up divider lets me pop either one body plus two lenses or a long telephoto standing upright, while the front “dry & wet” pocket prevents my gear from getting soaked. I appreciate the design with mesh bottle sleeves, the hidden key clip, and tripod straps under the base. The quick‑release cross‑body strap makes swinging the bag forward to swap lenses effortless. My only watch‑out is the modest padding—fine for city strolls, but I baby the bag if I’m clambering over rocks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light and stylish sling bag with useful features
The media could not be loaded.
One of the absolute standout features for me has to be the cleverly designed internal partitions. Instead of the usual fuss of having to completely remove and then carefully reinsert dividers to reconfigure the space, you can simply flip these up and down. It’s a genuinely convenient touch that makes customizing the interior a breeze, whether you're quickly grabbing a lens or reorganizing for a new setup. In terms of capacity, the bag really delivers; it comfortably accommodates a mirrorless camera with two extra lenses, or for those with larger gear, you can even fit a DSLR with an attached lens and an additional zoom lens. I also really appreciate the dedicated front compartment. It seems perfectly suited for stashing an umbrella or other wet items, as it appears to be completely separate from the main camera compartment. Plus, the bag itself is made from a waterproof material, giving me confidence that it would easily offer protection against light rain.
Beyond the bag itself, a nice bonus was the included detachable camera strap. It not only looks cool but also features an easy-to-use lock and unlock buckle for quick adjustments, which is a clever detail. They even included a soft cotton lens wrapper, which is a thoughtful addition for providing an extra layer of protection for a fragile lens or any other delicate items you might carry inside.
When worn, the sling bag feels quite comfortable on the shoulder, and the generous shoulder padding definitely helps to distribute the weight effectively, easing any potential strain. My only minor quibble, and it's truly a minor one, is that the shoulder pad tends to shift a bit when you swing the bag from front to back. While this is a common characteristic with most sling bags, for some reason, it was a little more noticeable for me with this particular design. However, I want to emphasize that this is certainly not a deal-breaker. Overall, I found this to be a very cleverly designed sling bag that manages to hold a significant amount of camera gear in a surprisingly slim and manageable form factor. I would absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for a versatile and protective solution for their camera equipment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Roomy and practical, plenty of pockets, seems bigger than my other 5L sling bag.
The TARION Outdoor Camera Messenger Bag is ideal for me as an APS-C shooter, smaller body & lenses really do make the most of smaller bags, and this one doesn't disappoint!
So, what's in my bag?
Nikon Z50 Body, 16-50 zoom lens, 50-250 zoom lens, mini speedlight, camera strap, 2 spare batteries, ND Filter & stepup ring, LED panel light, a couple of microfiber cleaning cloths and the 'wrapper' supplied with the bag as padsding above the camera body. A monopod / hiking stick slips into the loops on the bottom.
The 2 mesh side pockets are large enough to fit the ball head / handle for the monopod and a couple of chocolate bars for sustenance while out. They are not quite large enough to get my small water bottle in, so it would be carry a can of soft drink or water bottle outside of the bag. Even my small travel tripod felt out of place on the bottom of the bag, but the monopod is small enough, and very light, to carry in the bottom loops.
The bag itself is light and reasonably well padded to its sides, the bottom is protected from gentle knocks by the fold-out divider, there is no padding to the top, which gives a bonus use to the wrap cloth, it can sit above the body, just in case... (and be stored in the 'wet' mesh bag concealed in the front open pocket.)
The front zipped compartment has 2 zipped pockets, the front side pocket also having 3 compartments for batteries, SD cards etc. The back inner pocket is large enough for mobile phone, mini-LED light etc. a 'pop lock' keyring holder is also provided in the front pocket.
The padding for the shoulder strap is quite comfortable in use (with all of the above in the bag) and is easily removed for cleaning etc. being folded onto the strap with 'Velcro' strips.
Having done a couple of woodland walks and a stroll around a nearby country house and its grounds, the bag is certainly easy to access my camera and lenses, and having smaller body & lenses, even the bigger zoom lens can be mounted on the camera and fit in the centre compartment, ready for use.
It certainly seems bigger on the inside than the outside, and doesn't add excessive weight to already lighweight equipment. As far as value goes, the price is competitive enough against similar items to be worth consideration, and construction appears to be equivalent also.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy Sling for Day Trip/Sight seeing
This is a nice little bag, ideal for carrying camera of DSLR/Mirrorless size with maybe an extra lens. I can comfortably fit my camera with a rather sizeable lens attached, but that doesn't leave much room to pack another alternative lens. There are zipper compartments for any extra bits and bobs you wish to carry (cables, memory cards, filters, spare battery) but again, you're not going to be packing any 'big' accessories in this bag. It does have fixing straps on the underside for a tripod, but even my travel tripod is bigger than the bag and it's not practical.... better used for maybe an umbrella.
There is also a 'dry and wet' pocket on the front which is unusual and I can't really work out what I will use it for, but maybe that will become more apparent with more use.
The one area of the bag that could be improved is the amount of padding/protection on the top... there is no padding or protection leaving camera at risk of receiving knocks and bumps through the thin bag material. However, the bag also comes with a cloth which I use to pack on top of gear to offer some layer of buffer zone.
Where I see this bag working for me, is in the tourist city break capacity... the days where you know you'll only be using one lens and you don't want to carry around backpack.... it's comfortable to wear over your shoulder and big enough for camera, wallet, phone, passport, keys etc (if you dare to risk keeping those all in the same place).... but at the same time, small enough to carry around safely strapped over your shoulder without getting in your way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unique camera sling bag with some flaws
This is a nice camera bag and I really like the look of this bag. The material appears to be water resistance. All the zippers glide smoothly and they all have pull tabs on them. This bag is 5L but it’s similar in size as my 6L bags that I own. On each side of the bag is a small mesh pocket. At the bottom of the bag are 2 straps to hold a tripod. TARION also includes a camera strap and camera/lens wrapper which is nice.
This TARION camera bag has 5 compartments:
1) Looking at the front of the bag, the first compartment has a vertical zipper. It’s a tight compartment/pocket so it’s best to store flats items in there.
2) The next compartment is interesting as TARION calls it a wet/dry pouch. Each side has a pull out flap with a drawstring. The compartment/pouch goes through completely so you can access the item in there from either the left or right side. I guess you can put like a wet umbrella in there or something. But do note, it will eat into the other compartments space.
3) The next compartment is a good size compartment with zippered mesh pockets on the front and back. The front mesh pocket has 3 small stretch pockets to store items like batteries. There’s a detachable key ring holder in this compartment as well. There’s only a single zipper and I would of liked to have 2. The zipper opens a good amount but to close, you have to pull the zipper down where the strap can get in the way.
4) The next compartment is the main camera compartment. The main camera compartment comes with a large single detachable origami style divider. This design allows you to have up to 3 slots to store camera gear. I place one divider down so I can put my Sony A7III with a Tamron 28-200mm lens laying down. I was able to place my Sony 16-35mm lens in the other slot. Facing toward the back is sleeve for a tablet. My 9th Gen iPad fit without any issues.
5) The last is the zippered back compartment which is large enough to fit a large phone and other flat items.
Some cons of this TARION camera bag. Padding is lacking for a camera bag. The main camera compartment hardly had any padding. The padding comes from the origami style divider. The top where the zippers are located has no padding at all. The strap feels good and is easy to adjust but the angle it attaches to this camera bag is bad. It should be angled but instead it’s straight to the back. This means when you wear this bag, the bag will not hug your body but bow outward. If you wear this bag like a sling diagonal across your back then it’s not as bad.
For the price this camera bag is selling for, I expected more padding. If you’re using this bag as an EDC then it’s fine for that purpose. But if you’re using it as your main camera bag, then you may want to look elsewhere until TARION fix those issues I mention in my cons.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact & Waterproof Camera Sling for On-the-Go Shooting
This TARION sling bag has become my everyday carry for street photography. The 6L size fits my mirrorless camera with 2-3 lenses snugly, while the waterproof material has protected my gear during unexpected rain showers. The adjustable padded strap distributes weight comfortably, even during all-day wear, and the quick-access design lets me swing the bag forward to grab my camera in seconds. I particularly appreciate the tripod holder - it securely carries my compact travel tripod without bouncing. The removable dividers let me customize the interior for different shoots, and the hidden anti-theft pocket keeps my cards/cash safe. After six months of daily use, the zippers still glide smoothly and the fabric shows no signs of wear. Perfect for photographers who want minimalist protection without the bulk of a traditional camera backpack.
